How to Make a Dart Paper Plane
A dart plane is made with a single sheet of letter sized copy paper. Plain white printer paper is fine, although children often like to decorate their planes with different colored designs.
To make a dart paper plane, follow these steps.
- Fold the paper in half vertically. Unfold.
- Fold the left and right corners in to meet the center crease.
- Fold the left and right corners in to meet the center crease once more.
- Valley folds the paper in half.
- To form the first wing of your dart paper airplane, fold... the open side down so it touches the folded center, leaving a 1 1/2 inch space at the nose of the plane.
- Flip the plane over and repeat Step 5 to form the second wing of the airplane. Make sure the wings are symmetrical so your plane flies properly.
Sometimes, people will use paper clips or tape added to the wing of the plane to make it fly better. The extra weight makes the plane more aerodynamic.Continue to 3 of 6 below.
