Appetizer Hot Dogs in Barbecue Sauce

This easy slow cooker recipe uses sliced hot dogs, cocktail franks, or little smokies and a tasty homemade barbecue sauce. Just put it all in the slow cooker and provide the toothpicks and napkins.

What You'll Need

  • 4 pounds hot dogs or small cocktail hot dogs or little smoked sausages
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar

How to Make It

  1. Cut hot dogs into bite-size pieces; place in crockpot.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over hot dogs.
  3. Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1 to 2 hours.
  4. Serve from the crockpot, with temperature set on LOW.

Serves 20 to 24 as an appetizer.
