- 4 to 6 medium apples (4 cups chopped; Granny Smith, Braeburn, and Cortland are good choices)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
