The Bahama Mama is a great tropical cocktail that, in true tiki fashion, features two potent rums: dark and 151 proof. The coffee and coconut liqueurs along with pineapple juice add that extra tropical touch.

A perfect drink for summer that is very popular (one you should know) and a guaranteed crowd pleaser. If you travel to the islands you'll often find this served in a coconut, which is a nice touch.

Below the main recipe I have included another variation of the Bahama Mama, which is a pink cocktail that can be shaken but is sometimes blended. That one adds grenadine and orange juice and uses coconut rum.
