This old-fashioned baked raisin pudding recipe goes way back , but it's sure to please the loved ones around your table for years to come.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make It

  1. Combine brown sugar, water, and butter in a saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes.Pour into a buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, raisins, milk, and vanilla; blend thoroughly. Pour over hot mixture in casserole dish.
  3. Bake raisin pudding for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.
