Using a marker, add visual details to the balloon animal.

The balloon animal may now be wrapped around the wrist and worn.

    Thoughts:
I think that this balloon animal is a particularly good one for very young kids.

A turtle balloon animal will be very popular at an event but be careful about making it early with the detailed shell. The application of the shell segments is a rather time-consuming process that will slow you down significantly if you have lots of people waiting for balloons. And once...MORE you start making these, you'll likely find that many more will want them.

Another tip if you decide to apply the shell details. I've discovered that you can make them larger to draw fewer "segments" and save time.

One thought on markers. I prefer to use erasable markers as opposed to Sharpie and other markers. Early on, I was told by an experienced balloon twister that there's less balloon popping when one uses an erasable (whiteboard) marker. Since then, I have used Sharpies to draw on a balloon and haven't experienced any significant popping. But I still mostly use erasable (whiteboard) markers when drawing on balloons.

If I make one of these for a small child, I usually offer it to the parent and explain how to put it on and take it off ("it's just a rubber band"). This way, there's no questions.
