Best for Teens: Bamboo Living 2000 4-Piece Rayon Set
A teen’s room is their oasis, and chances are that they aren’t going to be easily swayed by basic black or white bed sheets. They want to express themselves and their individuality through color. Clearly, Bamboo Living 2000 got tired of the same basic five colors being used in every set and gave us what we really want and need — some patterns.
Made with rayon from bamboo, Bamboo Living 2000’s 4-Piece Rayon Set comes in pretty florals and geometric patterns to fit your teen’s room preferences. You get one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, and two pillowcases in this set. This set also features deep pockets to ensure it fits just about any mattress you have to throw in its way.
This product is hypoallergenic, wrinkle-free, and iron safe. Go ahead and throw it in your washer without fear of your sheets oozing their shape, softness or pilling. You can purchase these sheet sets for twin, full, queen or king size mattresses.

Best 1000 Thread Count: Alonzo Modern Rayon from Bamboo Egyptian Sheet Set
Some of us simply dream of getting our hands on Egyptian cotton sheets, but how would you feel if I told you that Egyptian bamboo sheets are even softer? I kid you not! The Twillery Co. has attracted their clientele thanks to their unique approach to Egyptian comfort with their Modern Rayon from Bamboo collection.
Your sheets are finally eco-friendly, and luxurious. This set comes with one flat sheet, one fitted sheet, two pillowcases. The fitted sheet fits a mattress up to 16" thick. You get 1000-thread count sheets melding 60% microiber and 40% rayon from bamboo.
The Alonzo collection features modern embroidered lines at the edges of the sheet, making these less plain and trendier. You can buy these sheets for full, queen, or king mattresses in aqua, gray, ivory, linen, white and sky blue.
How We Tested
Our reviewers spent 145 hours testing one of the most popular sheet sets available. To ensure the most thorough feedback possible, our testers put these sheets on their beds and slept on them for weeks on end. We asked our testers to consider the most important features when using these sheets, including their thread count, softness, and durability. We've outlined the key takeaways here so that you, too, know what to look for when shopping.
What to Look for in a Set of Bamboo Sheets
Material Bamboo blends are common in sheets, but the best options are those that are 100 percent bamboo. Look for lyocell bamboo sheets, which are more environmentally friendly and made with nontoxic processes.
Weave The weave directly affects the way the sheets feel. The most common weaves are twill and sateen. Twill is crisper; sateen feels silkier but is more difficult to care for and tends to be pricier.
Thread count Bamboo sheets typically have a thread count somewhere between 250 and 350. Though this may sound lower than some cotton options, bamboo is naturally soft. A 100 percent bamboo sheet with a 250 thread count may feel just as soft as a cotton sheet with a 400 thread count.
Test Results: Zen Bamboo Luxury Bed Sheets (Best Overall)
What We Like
Comfortable for sleeping
Fabric is durable
Great overall value
What We Don't Like
Not as soft as expected
Although our testers thought that these sheets weren’t any softer than their jersey or microfiber counterparts, they definitely enjoyed using them. “They’re comfortable enough for sleeping, the fabric isn't flimsy, and they look more expensive than they are,” noted one of our reviewers. Our testers were also pleasantly surprised at a particular design feature: the pillowcases have an envelope-style closure to keep the pillows from sliding out.
