Storage containers, also known as portable containers, have become a popular way to add storage space to your property, store belongings in a facility, and transport your items between moves, with the flexibility to use them for as little or as long as you want.

There are several companies that provide storage container rentals, with some offering heavy-duty metal containers and others renting out steel or wood ones. Each company has its own way to refer to these containers—pods, box containers, or shipping containers. If you are in need of storage space, we put together a list of the best storage container rental companies.
