Beth is a potter, artist, and writer with more than three decades of experience creating in clay and teaching others.
Beth is well versed in creating production pottery on the wheel and specializes in handbuilt ceramic sculpture. She enjoys sharing her love of clay and has taught children and adults beginning and intermediate pottery. One of her favorite workshops to teach is on raku pottery.
Beth has a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in studio ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
The whole of art is magical to me -- creating something from apparently nothing. Never have I been more struck by that magical quality than when watching a pot being thrown on the wheel. The artistry of the craft, and the craftsmanship of the art working together is, to me, what pottery and the ceramic arts are all about.
