Whether you want to throw a vintage tea party, complete with elegant table settings or host a big, backyard picnic bash where the drink of choice is sweet iced tea, the tea-for-two theme is a fun way to celebrate your twins’ birthday. Serve tea sandwiches to feed your guests, and then play some of these tea party games to entertain them. Wrap things up with party favor tags that read “We hope you had a tea-riffic time!”

Celebrate your twin siblings with a theme based on Dr. Seuss’ mischievous characters from "The Cat in the Hat," Thing One and Thing Two. Use a red, white and light blue color scheme to decorate, inspired by the colors of the characters’ hair and clothing. Use rhyming words for your party invitations, as well as for labeling party food. To take your party theme one step further, you can even dress your twins up as Thing One and Thing Two, and then dress yourself (or an older sibling) as the Cat in the Hat. How fun is that?

Combine an enchanted, woodland forest with a candy buffet for your Hansel and Gretel party theme. Decorate with gumball machines, giant lollipops and cotton candy, similar to a Candyland theme, or try a modern woodland theme. However you choose to create your Hansel and Gretel theme, it’s sure to be a hit with guests, and an event your twins will remember happily ever after.

    Pirate and Princess Party

This is a fun theme for twins of opposite genders. You can designate one side of the party space as the sea, where the pirates sail in their search for trouble and treasure and decorate the other side of the palace grounds, where the princesses frolic with pink, frilly flair. Or you can combine the two and create a place where pirates and princesses both rule–think pink flags on pirate ships and princesses who wear eye patches.

Give your twins the superhero treatment when you plan a Wonder Twins party theme. You can base your party on the actual Wonder Twins from DC Comics, or just use the name Wonder Twins because it fits the twin theme, but let them base their party on any superheroes they prefer.

Celebrate a double birthday with a double serving of everyone's favorite dessert: ice cream. Give your party a name like “two scoops” or “double scoop” and make it an ice cream party for all to enjoy. Party guests can play ice cream themed party games between trips to the ice cream sundae bar, where they should always be encouraged to add a second scoop, of course.
