Shopping Black-Owned Brands at Target Has Never Been Easier

One of the most meaningful ways to celebrate Black History Month is through solidarity and support of Black-owned or founded brands. That’s why we love Target’s latest initiative to elevate and promote the numerous Black-owned brands on offer at the popular retailer. Target is making it even easier to invest in these brands, creating more opportunities for their founders and helping their businesses grow and thrive.

We recently connected with Marissa Kearney, founder of TargetWhileBlack and RetailWhileBlack, who talked us through some of her favorite products from Target right now. Together, we curated a list of some great home products you need to grab this February.

And one pro tip from Kearney? “All Target stores are not created equal, and products vary from store to store—sometimes you may not have a product near you, but a little trick is to order it anyway,” Kearney says. “Target is watching who buys what and from where. This also helps the brand when it is time for them to scale.”
