The Bottom Line
A good pizza oven can hit a wide range of temperatures all the way up to 700 degrees F. It should be able to cook a pizza in a couple of minutes evenly giving a crisp crust and melted cheese. The Blackstone Patio Oven can do that thanks to a rather ingenious design. The secret is that a pizza stone built inside turns constantly providing even cooking while a 60,000 BTU gas burn delivers the power.
It does this at a very affordable price for a pizza oven, but to reach that price the quality is limited and the internet is filled with complaints of broken parts and poor built quality.

Guide Review - Blackstone Patio Oven
The Blackstone Patio Oven, or more accurately pizza oven approaches the problem of the perfect pizza with a unique design feature. A traditional pizza oven has no moving parts.
It is a brick lined box in which a fire is built. Authentic, but time consuming to light just to cook a pizza for movie night. This pizza oven uses a 60,000 BTU burner to reach very high temperatures. That burner is focused on one side of a rotating metal plate with a pizza stone placed on top. To rotate the plate a standard gas grill rotisserie motor is built into the bottom of the unit.
Since the plate is always turning the heat is always even.
To use the Blackstone Patio Oven, all you have to do is fire it up, let it reach temperature and slide a pizza onto the rotating plate. Depending on how hot the unit is set and the size of the pizza, it can be cooked in under two minutes. This means you can literally use this to cook 20 to 30 pizzas an hour. Fast, efficient, and easy to use, this is definitely a great, low priced option to the more traditional pizza ovens on the market. It is certainly less money.
The biggest problem with this product is the one that is hard to nail down. There are a number of complaints about the construction, particularly with people who bought it online. Despite its innovation, the construction quality is relatively poor and it can be easily damaged. The other part is the rotating table. Since it is a moving part it is prone to breaking or moving out of alignment.
Another issue is the height of the cooking chamber. Perfect for cooking pizza, it is low and limits the sort of things that will fit inside.
Ultimately, while this is a pretty good pizza oven for a great price it is a buyer beware product. If you really want to buy this I would recommend getting it from a reputable retailer with a good return policy.
It might also be a good idea to purchase it assembled to ensure it has all its parts and that nothing is damaged, though this will make it more difficult to transport.
