Broil King Monarch 340

The Pros and Cons

Broil King Monarch

The Bottom Line

Buy from Amazon

Onward Manufacturing is one of the largest grill producers in the world and their Broil King line represents some of the best grills for the price on the market. The Monarch series is towards the lower end of this line, but still a great quality grill. This size is perfect for the average griller, the heat is even and strong, and the construction is excellent. This model certainly competes with similar sized products from Weber.

Guide Review - Broil King Monarch 340

A basic gas grill with solid construction, the Broil King Monarch is a great choice in the price range though a better choice might be the Broil King Signet 20 (however, that model lacks the side burner). The heavy cast iron cooking grate and stainless steel vaporization barrier are built to last and the durable construction and high-quality stainless steel dual burner will keep you grilling for years to come.

At 30,000 BTUs, this grill has enough power for its 350 square inches of primary cooking area, though a little low. The heavy cooking grates make up for the lower BTU output.

The Dual-Tube stainless steel burners on this grill are unique and revolutionary. Broil King is famous for its infinity-8 burner.

These burners give you something no other tubular burner can: even gas flow front to back. The inner tube distributes gas throughout the outer tube that then delivers a true, even flow of gas. Simply an amazing design.

It's constructed from a cast aluminum body with stainless steel panels and powder coated steel frame. The side burner is underpowered for the user that wants to use it for large pots, but it will meet the needs of most people. All in all, the construction is excellent.
