5 Questions With Candace
Which room in your home do you find most relaxing?
My backyard. It has been my ongoing quarantine project and it's finally becoming a lovely little oasis where I can read a book or sip a glass of wine amongst my plants. It's also helped me embrace the green thumb I didn't know I had.
What is your favorite thing you own and why?
My cat! I was never a cat person growing up. I found him just around the corner from my apartment and he walked right up to me and rolled over onto his back. I knew it was a sign. I adopted him 2 years ago and it's been cat-mom bliss ever since.
What's your most dreaded chore?
Cleaning the bathroom, no question. It's the absolute worst! And of course, it's the place I want to be the cleanest!
What is your favorite season and why?
Late spring/early summer. Plants are starting to flourish, birds are chirping, and the weather is warm yet comfortable before the NYC summer humidity takes over.
What home decor trend are you loving right now?
There are quite a few brands popping up that are focused on producing ethically-made and fairly-traded decor through direct partnerships with skilled artisans all over the world. I hope this trend continues, as it's a way to support them while owning a piece that's really special.
