Simple Steamed Carrots With Butter

These carrots are cooked with just a little sugar, butter, and seasonings.

What You'll Need

  • 5 medium carrots, thinly sliced on diagonal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How to Make It

  1. Cook carrots in a small amount of boiling water with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar until tender, which should be about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain the carrots and toss with 2 tablespoons butter.
