These carrots are cooked with just a little sugar, butter, and seasonings.
- 5 medium carrots, thinly sliced on diagonal
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Cook carrots in a small amount of boiling water with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon sugar until tender, which should be about 20 minutes.
- Drain the carrots and toss with 2 tablespoons butter.
