You’ll get the luxurious feeling of real fur when you cuddle up with the Chanasya Wolf Faux Fur Throw, a synthetic fabric blanket that’s so soft, you won’t miss the real thing.
We purchased the Chanasya Wolf Faux Fur Throw so our expert reviewer could put it to the test in her home and outdoors. Keep reading for our full product review.
Getting the fabric right in a faux fur throw is tricky because you want it to be soft, luxurious, and also durable. From a cozy accent piece that you drape over a sofa or bed to something warm you curl up in, faux fur blankets can be both decorative and functional. We tested out the Chanasya Wolf Faux Fur Throw by using it everywhere from our home to the outdoors so we could observe its comfort and how well it holds up over time. Read on for all the snuggly details.
Design: Elegant while utilitarian
The Wolf Faux Fur Throw comes in a variety of sizes, including twin, queen/full, king, a 50 x 65 inch, and a 60 x 70 inch. We tested the 50 x 65 inch, which we found plenty large enough for cuddling and also making a ratty armchair look fancier. It also comes in tons of colors ranging from eye-catching pinks and blues to more neutral gray and beige tones.

The Chanasya Wolf blanket looks upscale. The fabric has a bit of a shimmer to it and draping the throw blanket over the edge of the bed or a couch gives the room a touch of class. With so many color options, it’s extremely versatile and we can see it adding to the decor in practically any space.
Material and Texture: Two sides of softness
A lot of faux fur blankets put all the effort into one side of the throw, leaving the other covered in cheaper material that’s not nearly as soft. This isn’t the case with the Chanasya Wolf, however. It’s super soft all around, which we found surprising given the whole thing is made out of polyester.

On one side, there’s the advertised faux fur, which comes in your color of choice. The other side is kind of like shearling, though a bit softer and more buttery. Both layers prove pleasing to the touch and the juxtaposition of textures works well.
On the fur side, you have silky fibers that make this blanket feel like the most luxurious stuffed animal you ever dreamed about as a child. The short “fur” is silky, smooth, and comfortable no matter which way you pull it across your skin. In contrast, the pillowy shearling side feels like a more buttery and decadent version of sheep’s wool.

Durability: Take it anywhere
The highlight of the Chanasya Wolf Faux Fur Throw Blanket is this: It looks pleasant, like something you want to tag along with you anywhere and everywhere (well, maybe not into the office). But since it’s neither expensive nor delicate, you won’t feel bad using it in the car, taking it camping, or bundling up in it on the porch as you watch the stars. It’s a durable throw, and with two well-sewn panels, we imagine it will handle a lot of action. The one thing we did notice was the shearling side pills a bit, but it didn’t bother us too much.

Washing: Machine wash and air dry
Toss this blanket in the washing machine and spin it on a normal cycle with cold water. Next, let it air dry or, as the directions suggest, tumble on low. We prefer air drying since it guarantees no heat will cause the delicate microfibers to melt together, which could cause the faux fur to lose its texture and silky feel.

We were happy with how well the blanket came out after a few washes—it felt just like it did fresh from the package. Be forewarned, though, you’re definitely going to want to wash it because things tend to stick to the shearling side wherever you go, whether it’s dried leaves, pieces of paper from your kid’s art project, or other random bits of debris.
Price: Fair for the quality
For around $30 to $50, depending on the size and color you choose, this blanket is a pretty swell value given how expensive it looks and feels. That said, knowing it’s made of polyester, which isn’t the most high-end material, we wish it cost just a little less. Still, compared to other faux fur throws on the market, the price feels reasonable considering you’re getting such high quality.

Competition: Chansya hits the sweet spot of quality and price

Pinzon Faux Fur Throw Blanket: On the cheaper end, there’s the Pinzon Faux Fur Throw Blanket (view on Amazon), which we tested as well. Also made with polyester, this throw doesn’t feel as soft as the others, and has a sort of stiffness and plastic-like texture to the microfibers, especially on the back. Though we tested the same size, the Pinzon feels less full, which makes it seem smaller. However, you can find it for a little less than the Chanasya Wolf, so if you’re just looking for something soft and the price is your main concern, it will suffice.
Best Home Fashion Faux Fur Full Blanket: The Best Home blanket (view on Amazon) is more expensive than most faux fur blankets, costing around $160. It’s also huge and heavy, and feels more like the pelt of a wild animal. The long hairs feel a little coarse, which is what you would get if you really had the hide of a wolf on your bed. The underside is smooth, and although not super soft, is warm and cozy.
CaliTime Super Soft Throw Blanket: For about $40, you can get the Super Soft Throw Blanket from CaliTime (view on Amazon), in colors ranging from ivory to navy blue to bright yellow. These blankets are made with poly fleece and quality-wise appear similar to the Chanasya blankets. Given each one is 60 x 80 inches, you get a lot of blanket for the price.
Yes, buy it.
We can’t stop snuggling up with the Chanasya Wolf Faux Fur Throw, which is a sure sign it’s worth purchasing. It’s washable, soft, durable, and looks lush—all high-note qualities we look for in a blanket. Since Chanasya offers so many colors, you can get one for every person and room in the house.
