Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill Model# 463420511 - Discontinued

Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill with Outdoor Stove Sideburner Model# 463420511
Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill with Outdoor Stove Sideburner Model# 463420511. Char-Broil LLC.

The Bottom Line

This model has been discontinued. Its closest replacement is the Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill Model# 463211511.

This is the bottom of the "stainless steel" grills. For around $270 you can buy this Char-Broil grill from Home Depot that features the Char-Broil side burner/oven with griddle. Unfortunately, this grill uses the lowest quality stainless steel and metal as thin as you can buy.

The question is, why would you want to buy this grill. I can bend the lid with my hands so this is as fragile grill as you can find. Like many Char-Broil grills, it looks good on the showroom floor, but won't last. Keep your receipts and fill out the product registration card.

Guide Review - Char-Broil 4-Burner Gas Grill Model# 463420511

To be completely honest with you, a gas grill for $270USD should be a basic grill without any "stainless steel". Real stainless steel is expensive and this grill just doesn't have it.

Made from the thinnest of the lowest quality stainless, this grill is more deception than anything else.

With four 12,000 BTU burners, this grill can deliver heat to its porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates, and the side burner unit is a nice feature with the oven capacity and griddle included. But this grill breaks the first rule of a good grill. If you want to test it yourself open the lid and twist it. This grill uses such thin metal that you can bend the lid by simply pulling on it. This is certainly a grill you should pass by.

While this grill does have some good warranty features the warranty doesn't do much for the overall construction. Burners will be replaced if they fail, but if the grill loses its appearance or the cart fails you'll be out of luck. In the past grills similar to this one had warranties that gave you 2 years and all part and lifetime protection on the burners. Nowadays Char-Broil has moved to a standard 1-year warranty on everything. Since this grill will probably last you a little longer than a year or two the warranty is largely useless.
