Chartreuse Martini Cocktail
A simple little addition and your gin martini, just went green! The best part is that there is no mint or fruit involved, just aromatic herbal goodness. Photo Courtesy: © Shannon Graham

The Chartreuse in this martini adds a subtle touch of herbs and a brilliant green color that brightens up the palate and makes it a nice switch from the classic Gin Martini. Green is a great color for cocktails and this is one of the few that does not rely on Midori or green apple schnapps, it's a completely different taste and one may say it's a bit more sophisticated.

You can make it dirty by adding a little olive juice if you like, or you can be a little more subtle and add the essence of olives by garnishing with three olives instead.
