What You'll Need

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk

How to Make It

  • Sift together powdered sugar and cocoa.
  • Melt butter. Add butter and vanilla to sifted mixture. Stir.
  • Add milk to get desired spreading consistency. If more milk is required, add by tablespoon at a time.
  • Use Chocolate Fudge Frosting immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days or up to 3 months in the freezer. Makes 2 cups of frosting. Enough for two 8- or 9-inch round cakes or one 9x13 pan.
