This is my version of a classic pumpkin pie recipe. Pumpkin pie is a traditional holiday dessert, and also one of the easiest pie recipes there is. Often served with whipped cream, pumpkin pie is also wonderful with vanilla ice cream.

What You'll Need

  • 1 9 inch prepared pie crust shell (unbaked)
  • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree (pure, not pie filling)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Make It

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Add all the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk together until very smooth. Pour into prepared pie crust. Place in the middle of the preheated oven and bake 15 minutes.

Turn down the temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for another 40 minutes, or until the filling is set. Let cool completely before trying to cut and serve.
