Classic Easter Dinner Menu

Classic Easter Dinner Menu. Linda Larsen

Easter is the epitome of spring celebrations., The weather may be nice (or it may not) but you can make your celebration dinner as perfect as possible. This classic menu is a case in point.

A glistening, beautiful, salty ham is the classic centerpiece of the Easter dinner menu. And this menu is no exception! A gorgeous spiral sliced ham is glazed with a spicy chutney mixture. It's served with some simple creamy roasted potatoes, roasted asparagus, a sweet gelatin salad, fluffy dinner rolls, and a decadent and easy make-ahead dessert.

Set your table with your most beautiful china, best linens, and prettiest crystal stemware. All silverware should be polished. And make sure you have candles and fresh flowers on the table. If you have a fireplace, a cozy fire burning will set a wonderful mood, especially in contract to the flowers in your centerpiece. No matter what the weather is like outside, your delicious Easter dinner will be perfect and will be remembered for years to come.

Classic Easter Dinner

  • Chutney Glazed Ham
The simple but very flavorful glaze is so easy to make. And with my method of heating a fully cooked ham, it will always be juicy and tender. This ham is delicious served warm, or even cold. You can make it and chill it, then slice it at the table for your feast.
  • Creamy Roasted Potatoes
Start this recipe with chunks of Yukon Gold potatoes and a super simple creamy sauce and it's a breeze to make. Use your favorite cheese in this wonderful recipe. It's the perfect accompaniment to the salty and tender ham.
  • Roasted Asparagus
Roasting asparagus makes it tender and sweet. It can go into the oven with the ham as the meat is glazing.
  • Carrot Pineapple Salad
I absolutely love this salad, but for some reason, I only make it for holidays! The combination of carrot and pineapple may sound strange, but this is a time-tested classic side dish. It's sweet, crisp, and perfect with the rich meat and potatoes.
  • My Grandmother's Parker House Rolls
No holiday would be complete without these fluffy and flavorful rolls. They will literally fly off the plate! And they must be made ahead of time, which makes the dinner easier on you.
  • Chocolate Filled Angel Food Cake
And to finish this perfect classic meal, this wonderful and simple dessert will elicit "oohs" and "aahs". It's so good!
