It doesn’t get more Southern than ham and Coca-Cola. Combine them for the ultimate soul food treat. This is an absolute must for my family every Easter, and it’s a recipe that I look forward to eating every year. The ham is braised in a mix of Coke, orange juice, and brown sugar, so the ham is succulent and tender. Use the leftovers to layer biscuits for breakfast the next morning.

What You'll Need

  • 1 (2- to 3-pound) cooked ham (cut in half, if needed, to fit into the slow cooker)
  • 2 cups Coca-Cola
  • 1 cup orange juice concentrate
  • 1 cup brown sugar

How to Make It

1. Remove the ham from the wrapper, and add to the slow cooker.

2. Pour Coke, orange juice and brown sugar on top of ham.

3. Cook ham on low until soft and tender, about 6 to 8 hours.
