    This hearty meat sauce, made with ground beef and pork, would be wonderful paired with rigatoni or tagliatelle (ribbon pasta just slightly wider than fettuccine), but it also goes well with a variety of pasta shapes that trap the savory sauce, like shells or farfalle.

    Here is an easy dinner option for a busy weeknight. You can prepare the shells ahead, and then a one-dish meal that can be ready in a snap. This dish offers a filling of ricotta cheese and chopped spinach, but you could also use chopped broccoli instead.

    This garlicky shrimp recipe is simple, delicious and so easy to make that it will quickly become one of your go-to dishes. The beauty of this dish is that it can be served many ways: tossed with pasta as it is here, or over rice, couscous, or plain with a side of crusty herb buttered bread. Anyway I serve this dish, it's always hit!

    This might be comfort food at its best—pasta and ricotta cheese combine with a rich tomato mushroom sauce baked until bubbly and golden. Serve the baked pasta with a mixed green salad and some garlic bread.

    This ingenious chicken Parmesan requires no breading, no frying, and only takes minutes to put together. Since there is no fried coating in this chicken Parmesan recipe it's much lower in calories and fat. The crouton crust serves double-duty by soaking in the sauce and chicken juices, as well as forming a crispy, cheesy topping.

    Meaty veal shanks turn meltingly tender when braised slowly in wine and vegetables. Plus they each hold a delectable nugget of marrow in the hollow bone. Serve the shanks over buttered egg noodles or fettuccine and be sure to include tiny spoon for scooping out the marrow. This dish is called Osso Buco in Italy, which means hollow bone.

    Many people complain that the eggplant in their eggplant parmigiana turns out soggy and oil soaked. This recipe solves that problem by salting the eggplant ahead of time to draw out the water and leaves the eggplant crisper.

    The fresh, clean taste of Lemon Chicken is good served all year round. Lemon does a much for chicken as it does for fish as you'll see with this recipe. The lemon shines through and highlights the other flavors in this dish as well.

    The best part about this Lemon Chicken recipe is that it's ready in under 30 minutes, and it can also be easily doubled to feed more.
