Currently, Shearer is the director of design for Bell Kitchen & Bath Studios.
Shearer attended the University of Georgia and graduated in 2008 with a B.S. in Furnishings and Interiors.
In 2011, Shearer won the Calla Award for Large Kitchen, and in 2013, was selected by the National Kitchen & Bath Association as one of the industry's Top 30 under 30.
Her blog, The Cow Spot was a finalist for Best New Design Blog for the 2012 Design Bloggers Hall of Fame and was nominated for a Homie Award by Apartment Therapy in 2014.
