    How to Make a Crown Out of Craft Foam

    Follow these directions and learn how to make a crown using craft foam. These are great for dress-up fun or birthday parties.

    • Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
    • Time Required: 30 minutes (Does not include drying time)

    The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.

    Materials Needed:

    • Craft Foam
    • Dimensional Paint
    • Rhinestones
    • Craft Glue
    • Scissors

    Instructions: Step 1

    Start out by making a headband using craft foam. The headband should be about 2" wide and long enough to fit around your head with a 1" overlap.

    Cut six triangles, each about 2" wide by 4" tall, out of craft foam. You can match the color of your craft foam headband or choose a contrasting color.

    Glue the bottom edge of each triangle, evenly spaced, along the top edge of the headband. 

    Now you can decorate your crown using rhinestones, dimensional paint, and anything else you like!
