Cream cheese makes the filling for these traditional dish extra creamy. Deviled eggs are a kitschy classic, and while people may poke fun, they're an American party food icon for a good reason!

 

What You'll Need

  • 8 hard-cooked eggs (peeled)
  • 1 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of cayenne
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • Optional: paprika as needed

How to Make It

  1. Cut the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and scoop or pop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash them with the vinegar, mayonnaise, cream cheese, mustard, cayenne, salt, and pepper until smooth. If the mixture seems too dry, add a touch more mayo.
  3. Using a spoon, or pastry bag with a star tip, generously fill the holes in the egg white halves with the egg yolk mixture.
  4. Sprinkle tops with paprika. Chill well before serving.
