Tradition suggests that the basis for Creole flavor is the three peppers, black, white and red. This spice blend combines black pepper, white pepper and cayenne with several herbs. A delicious seasoning to use on any kind of meat, fish, seafood or vegetable.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup/120 mL Kosher salt (1/3 cup/80 mL table salt)
  • 1/3 cup/80 mL paprika
  • 1/3 cup/80 mL black pepper (freshly ground is best)
  • 1/4 cup/60 mL granulated garlic
  • 1/4 cup/60 mL onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons/45 mL white pepper
  • 3 tablespoons/45 mL cayenne
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon/15 mL dried oregano

How to Make It

1. Combine all ingredients together. Store in an airtight container in a cool and dark place. Shake container before using since it can settle.
