The Pacific Design Center is an award-winning and leading resource for contemporary residential and traditional design, located in the bustling and design rich neighborhood of West Hollywood. Sitting on 14 acres, Southern California’s design trade displays architectural products, fabrics, lighting, and additional furnishings.
Designed by the world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, the Pacific Design Center is met with almost 100 showrooms and 2,200 product lines in a 1.6 million square foot center.
Ideal for exhibitions, art and entertainment, the center has as a terrific ongoing series of events, including special exhibitions at MOCA PDC, a designer lecture series, and Design Loves Art— a program launched in 2009 to explore the constant, yet fluctuating interaction between art and design. For public and private events, individuals can use conference spaces available to them at the center to host meetings, exhibitions, lectures, and screenings.
Perfect for decorators, architects, and professional designers, the Pacific Design Center provides premier, multi-use facility for creative and business use. For example, the design center's Red Building offers a creative office space for entertainment, fashion, technology, and art businesses, while the MOCA Pacific Design Center houses two Wolfgang Puck restaurants, a Michael Graves designed fitness center, and a 388 seat luxury film venue and reception space— fitting for a town where design and entertainment often meet.
Visitors can stop by the center on the corner of Melrose Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard, Monday through Friday, from 9-5pm. Individuals visiting the center have the opportunity to contact the center's Design Services Department to work with an interior designer that best matches their preferred style and budget.
This complimentary program, the Design Referral Service, assists people in selecting an interior designer to consult with on their special project, like redecorating a room or building a new home. Design professionals, such as designers and architects, may make arrangements to visit the center with their clients during normal business hours and must adhere to the center's admission policy.
Known as an architectural and cultural landmark, the Pacific Design Center is an exciting event location for board meetings, outdoor parties, and special occasions. With the ability to host anywhere from 10 to 2,500 people, the design center houses seven event locations within the buildings, surrounding landscape outdoor plaza, and terrace desks. The on-campus Wolfgang Puck restaurant is the preferred caterer, although other caterers are accepted.
The Pacific Design Center has three main buildings available for leasing: The Blue Building, The Green Building and The Red Building. Also known as "Blue Whale," the Blue Building is a 750,000 square foot building revolutionized in L.A.'s design industry in 1975 by architect Caesar Peli. Peli transformed two more buildings 40 years later, the Green and Red Buildings, as a connection place to design, art and media brands within the commercial market center.
Leading manufacturers prefer the Pacific Design Center as their showroom location choice, due to its best-in-class design, ideal location, and excellent amenities. Explore the three buildings available for Showroom Leasing.
