I found this cute and craft Valentine's Day idea at Gallamore West via Pinterest. The rough edges of the burlap really add to the character of this heart wreath. This crafty blogger shares a tutorial so you can hang your own heart on a line. The ingredients are simple: a wire hanger (shaped into a heart), scissors and red burlap fabric. Another piece of burlap or ribbon can be used to hang this heart. Cut the burlap fabric into about 3-inch wide strips and being careful to fold, pierce each... fold with the wire hanger. Continue to scrunch the fabric until the wire hanger is filled. At the end this might look a bit messy with hanging threads so trim them before hanging.

This gorgeous heart mobile from Being Brook was crafted from old book pages ... so each heart tells a story. Just lovely! When Brook isn't busy being crafty, she's busy being generous - she shares complete instructions for crafting your own at her blog. The nice thing about this project is that you can make it as large or as small as you want to. Shop for used or old books (or magazines) at the thrift shop and try to find pages that have the same hue. Using a cardboard template or a... heart-shaped cookie cutter, trace heart shapes on each page and cut them out. You can use embroidery thread to connect each heart or use a sewing machine to quickly sew hearts together. Use a wire hanger to shape a circle (or use embroidery hoops). You can also hang individual strings in front of a window.

These beautiful lacy votive holders were featured over at Martha Stewart, and I couldn't resist sharing the idea, too. The softness of the lace looks lovely in pastel pinks, and I'll bet the shadows cast by the lace are equally as stirring. Want to make your own?
