The Dorflinger is a truly classic cocktail. The beauty of this recipe is that Plymouth gin and absinthe are hot cocktail commodities and they are wonderful together. Orange bitters have seen a renaissance of their own and are the perfect touch for bringing together the unique gin and liqueur.

This cocktail got its start in the days before Prohibition and was named after the famed glass maker, Christian Dorflinger. Dorflinger, of White Mills, Pennsylvania, crafted fine glassware during the "brilliant period" including, rather fittingly, drink containers.
