Drew Barrymore Shares Her Favorites From Her New (and Expanding!) 'Beautiful' Line

After becoming an authority in kitchen appliances that are stylish and functional, Drew Barrymore's "Beautiful" brand is ready to move beyond the kitchen and into every room of the home—and we're here to show you everything.

Barrymore's homewares recently launched new appliance categories in lovely hues, and that's not all. With its expansion into all things home this year, "Beautiful by Drew" is now heading for your living room, too.

"We have the best time doing all of this—it fulfills me and checks so many boxes of my dreams and goals," Barrymore shares with The Spruce.

We had the honor of chatting with Barrymore about her new product offerings, which she would have to take with her if stranded on a desert island, and why its so important that the "Beautiful" brand makes waves in the home space.

You've likely spotted Barrymore's "Beautiful" appliances at Walmart, which launched in March of 2021. The line, ranging from air fryers to coffee makers to ice cream machines, stands out from the typical, neutral offerings, instead boasting bright pastel colors and shiny gold hardware.

Its neutral aesthetic is sure to fit into any design style, making it a welcome addition to your home. With an oversized design and soft fabric, this is the type of chair you'll want to spend all day snuggling in—and Drew agrees.

"It's the perfect chair for reading, and if you add an ottoman, you have almost a personal couch," she tells The Spruce.

Barrymore Shares Her Standout Favorite Appliance

Barrymore also introduced us to more of her new appliance additions, from a cornflower blue toaster oven to a personal blender. Though a hugely successful actress and TV personality, Barrymore always found herself wanting something more than just the stand appliance offerings when it came to outfitting her kitchen—thus, "Beautiful" was born.

“I wanted to take this endeavor on was because I wanted to have things that live out on our counter space that felt elevated and elegant—but still were at an attainable price point," she says. “I thought to myself, ‘There's something that I desperately want to exist in the world' and that was the intention in which I made it.”

Many appliance offerings come in all black or steel. But, Barrymore shook up the shelves by offering colorful options from cornflower blue to lavender that are just punchy enough. Barrymore adores all of her appliances, but if she could only take one of them with her on a desert island—well, she would take two.

Her first response was the versatile air fryer, noting that it is "the easiest, most economic, best cooking, most infallible way to not fail in the kitchen."

But, after giving it further thought, she also can't live without the electric skillet, lauding its versatility.

"If you have these two items, you have a full kitchen," she says. "I like cooking for myself—I don't like others judging my food—but I've made everything from linguini vongole to a sesame-crusted ahi tuna. I even made and pureed soup all in this vessel."

The Drew Chair and the new appliances are the first of many new launches to come this year for the brand. Shae Hong, the co-founder and CEO of Beautiful, told Walmart that it was such a joy to continue developing new projects with Barrymore.

"We're so excited to be expanding the Beautiful by Drew line into other areas of the home," she says. "Drew is truly the best partner and has such an incredible eye for what the consumer wants in their home. And, we couldn't be more grateful to continue growing and innovating with Walmart."

According to Barrymore, creating products that balance beauty, style, and affordability is of utmost importance and marks the heart of her brand. Plus, bringing these pieces to Walmart makes it easy for everyone to find trendy homewares that don't break the bank.

"We're on a mission to make everyone's lives more beautiful at home by offering stylish products at attainable price points," Barrymore says. "I've always believed that you shouldn't have to spend a lot of money in order to create a space you love, and I want to help you do just that."

In the coming months, Barrymore's brand is planning to debut several more new home offerings across different rooms, all with accessible price points. We'll eagerly await these new launches—but for now, we are clearing a corner in our living rooms to house this chair.
