Drew Zieff is currently in the process of purchasing and renovating a new home and obsessively researches all projects before diving in. He enjoys demolition, landscaping, and turning under-utilized space into smart storage.

Drew got a crash course in home improvement when he and his partner bought a gutted plumbing van in 2018 and converted it into a cabin on wheels. A gear nerd, he directs Backcountry Magazine’s splitboard test and Outside Magazine’s snowboard test. He also writes about the outdoors, vanlife, travel, adventure, and action sports for publications like Popular Mechanics, REI, Gear Junkie, and Gear Patrol, among others.
