If you're like me, you're always looking for a good reason to start a new embroidery project and Easter is a good reason! Stitch this darling Easter bunny in a basket pattern as a gift or simply to enjoy some stitching time.

Bunny and Easter Basket Embroidery Pattern
To download the Easter Bunny and Basket pattern, click to open the JPG file and save it to your computer. Adjust the size in an image editing program or use the scaling option when you print it out.
The design works well sized to fit in a 6-inch embroidery hoop, but you can make it larger or smaller. If you choose to make it a... lot smaller, you may want to eliminate the extra weaving lines on the lower part of the basket.

Easter Bunny and Basket Stitching Guide
This Easter design can be stitch with basic embroidery stitches, so even if you're new to embroidery you can jump right in. If you are a more advanced stitcher, try using more fill stitches to really bring this pattern to life!
Stitch suggestions are given, but you really can do this with whatever stitches you like.
Embroider the bunny and the lower portion of the basket with back stitch and 4 strands of floss. Use chain stitch and 2 strands of floss for the eggs and the basket handle.
S...titch the bunny's eyes with french or colonial knots and 3 strands. Use satin stitch and 2 strands for the bunny's nose.
The colors shown for the pattern are DMC 632, 543, 3779, 210, 3822 and 598.
Of course you can choose your favorite spring or Easter shades for this project. Consider mixing up the look by making the bunny chocolate brown or changing the basket to a bright color!
