Top 9 Zucchini and Squash Recipes From Eastern Europe

Eastern Europeans are gardeners extraordinaire. And even if they live in an apartment without a garden patch, they grow amazing fruits and vegetables in containers on their back porches and even indoors. While zucchini and other squashes originated in the Americas, the variety we today know as zucchini was brought back to Italy and cultivated there. Zucchini probably came to Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe by way of Queen Bona Sforza, Italian royalty who married King Sigismund (Zygmunt)...MORE I (the Old) in 1518.
