Drop biscuits are great for when you don’t have a lot of time to make roll out biscuits to go with your meal. The biscuits are quickly mixed and dropped onto a baking sheet to bake.

Yield: 12 biscuits

What You'll Need

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp shortening
  • 1 cup milk (cold or room temperature)

How to Make It

  1. Preheat oven 450 degrees F. Grease baking sheet.
  2. In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening with fork until mixture is crumbly. Add milk all at once and mix until flour is completely wet. Drop biscuit batter, about 2 Tbsp for each biscuit, onto greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake 450 degrees F for 12 minutes or until done. Serve warm with your meal.
