    Chinese Coins

    The coins used as feng shui money cures are the round Chinese coins with a square hole in the center. You can buy them in any Chinatown (if there is one close to where you live) or from many online feng shui retailers. These coins are replicas of ancient Chinese coins and come in two finishes. 

    In 2018, Chinese coins are used in the following areas: 6 coins in the South (to avoid bad luck) and in the Northwest (to protect again sickness energy). They are also good in the East area (to strengthen the beneficial wealth and success energy).

    Crystals and Stones

    In feng shui, crystals are widely used for the specific energy, or the vibrations they bring to your home or office. For example, the rose quartz crystal is used to attract love and romance, hematite and black tourmaline have strong protective energies, while citrine helps heal self-esteem issues, as well as attract wealth. 

    In 2018, amethyst, rose quartz and ammonite are excellent feng shui wealth cures for the Southeast, as well as East areas. Pyrite is also excellent for the North area in 2018.

    Salt Water Cure

    The feng shui salt water cure is a popular feng shui cure used to neutralize the potentially negative effects of challenging feng shui annual stars in a home or office. This feng shui cure is usually used for feng shui star #2 and star #5 (some feng shui practitioners also use it for star #3).

    In 2018, the salt water cure is used in Northwest area to protect again sickness and/or in the South to avoid bad luck. You can also place it in the East area. ​

    The feng shui wealth vase is one of the oldest feng shui abundance cures. The wealth vase is used as an abundance cure to help you attract and strengthen the flow of wealth and prosperity energy in your home.

    In 2018, you can place your wealth vase in the East/the current Wealth Star location or keep it in the Southeast (Money/Abundance bagua area, as well as the location of the annual 2018 Future Wealth Star).

    Feng shui gem trees also called feng shui crystal trees, are a popular cure in the traditional feng shui school applications. The first thing to notice is the use of specific  crystals in a tree, as each gem tree will usually come with one type of crystals, thus defining its feng shui application.

    One of the most popular feng shui cures, the Wu Lou has many uses for the feng shui enthusiast - from a money cure to a good luck and long life symbol. Most commonly the Wu Lou is made of either metal or wood, but you can also find Wu Lou made from various crystals. 

    In 2018, a metal Wu Lou is recommended for the Northeast area (the Overall Success Star), as well as a protective cure for negative energies in the Northwest and South bagua areas.

    The Money Frog

    The use of the feng shui money frog has deep symbolic roots. It is a mythological creature with three legs that is said to attract wealth and abundance, this is why you can often see it in many Chinese establishments. If you come from Chinese culture, or if you really like the symbol of the money frog, this can be a powerful feng shui money cure for you. 

    In 2018, the money frog is a good cure for the East and Southeast bagua areas.

    The dragon turtle cure is very popular in classical, or traditional feng shui schools. You can find it in most feng shui shops, as well as in any Chinatown. From small souvenirs in cheap metal finish material to beautifully carved jade statues, the dragon turtles cure is one of those strange symbols always associated with feng shui. 

    In 2018, the dragon turtles are also a good addition to the East and Southeast bagua areas.

    The Chinese double happiness sign is a popular and beautiful feng shui cure. When you look at this calligraphy symbol, you can clearly distinguish two identical figures holding hands. There is perfect symmetry, flow, ​and balance in the Chinese double happiness sign, which all speak of the possibility of a lasting harmonious energy in a love relationship. 

    In 2018, the double happiness sign is a wonderful addition to the Northeast area. You can also keep it in the Southwest/Love Area, just be sure it's not a red colored one because the Fire element is best to avoid there in 2018.

    Lucky Bamboo

    Lucky Bamboo is one of the most popular feng shui cures. Bamboo in itself is an amazing plant with a very peaceful and wise energy. It teaches the ultimate wisdom: how to be flexible and hollow (open) inside so that the spirit can freely flow and heal your whole being. In addition, here is why this specific feng shui cure is considered lucky. 

    In 2018, the lucky bamboo is excellent in Southeast and Northeast bagua areas, as well as the East one. Avoid placing it in the Northwest in 2018.

    Kwan Yin Statue

    Known as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, Kwan Yin is a well-known deity. A great protector and benefactor, her heart is full of deep compassion and unconditional love; her energy is God-like. As such, Kwan Yin is welcomed in many feng shui applications and is one of the most popular (and sacred) feng shui cures.

    Green Tara

    Green Tara is a female Buddha and one of the most known goddesses in the Buddhist world. At the first glance, the energy of Green Tara is very similar, if not identical to the energy of Kwan Yin. Tara is called the goddess of compassion and the mother of liberation. However, the energy of Tara also encompasses action as reflected in achieving success. 

    In 2018, a metal Green Tara statue can be an excellent feng shui cure for the North bagua area.

    Laughing Buddha

    Used as a feng shui cure for good luck, abundance, happiness, success, good health (well, let's just say for everything good!); any feng shui bagua area can benefit from the sparkling energy of the Laughing Buddha. You can find the Laughing Buddha in a variety of feng shui products - from statues and bells to keychains and jewelry. 

    In 2018, the Laughing Buddha is much welcomed in the South, Southeast, and East bagua areas. You can also place a metal statue of the Laughing Buddha in the Northwest area of your home this year (for additional energetic support).

    Dragon Statue

    The feng shui dragon is a powerful and auspicious traditional feng shui cure and an excellent feng shui symbol of strong yang/male energy. A pearl, or a crystal, in the feng shui dragon's claw symbolizes wealth, power and an abundance of opportunities. As a popular feng shui cure, dragons come in many sizes and variations of materials and color. 

    In 2018, a metal Dragon statue is a good protective cure for the South bagua area of your home or office. Be sure your dragon is not of a fire element color (red or purple).

    Ru Yi

    Ru Yi is a Chinese scepter. Literally translated, ru yi means as you wish and as such, ru yi has become a feng shui good luck and good fortune symbol. A ru yi in the office is assumed to protect the owner from negative energy and clear the way for career advancement. 

    In 2018, a metal Ru Yi is an excellent feng shui cure for the North bagua area.

    Wind Chimes

    Wind chimes are a very popular feng shui cure, so there is a variety of ways you can use them for good feng shui. According to traditional feng shui schools, wind chimes are used to cure specific negative energies, as well as accentuate the positive energies with a Metal element energy. 

    In 2018, metal wind chimes can be placed as a protective cure in the Northwest bagua area. A 6 hollow rods wind chime can also be an excellent cure for the South area.

    Chi Lin Statue

    Chi Lin is a mythical Chinese creature with the head of a Dragon, the body of a Horse, and the scales of a Carp fish. Also called the Dragon Horse, or the Chinese Unicorn, Chi Lin brings strong, protective feng shui energy with blessings of good health and prosperity. Chi Lin is very loyal to its owner and will protect the house from evil spirits. 

    In 2018, metal Chi Lins are helpful in the South, and a couple of earth-toned ones can be good in the Northeast bagua area.

    Pi Yao / Pi Xiu

    To a feng shui beginner, a Pi Yao can look very similar to a Fu Dog, as well as to a Chi Lin. Just like the Chi Lin, the Pi Yao (Pi Xiu) can be used either alone or in pairs. Not only is Pi Yao the most powerful protective feng shui cure against the Grand Duke (a flying stars school term), it is also a good feng shui cure to attract wealth. 

    In 2018, Pi Yao is best placed in the East facing West, which is the current area of the Grand Duke's presence (this challenging energy resides in the West bagua area in 2018).

    Dzi Beads

    The Dzi beads are considered very auspicious in feng shui. The word "Dzi" translated from Tibetan means "shine, brightness, clearness, and splendor"; and the Chinese interpretation of "Dzi" is "heaven's pearls". Most Dzi beads are classified by the number of eyes/circles they contain. 

    In 2018, Dzi beads are good in the Southeast or East feng shui ​bagua areas.

    Feng Shui Fountains

    Fountains are very popular in feng shui because they bring the energy of water, and water is an ancient feng shui symbol of wealth and prosperity. Another good feng shui reason to use a fountain indoors is the fact that a working fountain will diffuse negative ions into the air and refresh the energy of your space. 

    In 2018, a small water fountain is recommended in the Southeast bagua area.
