The Art of the Folded Paper Note
If you're familiar with origami then you know that there are several ways to fold paper. When you are creating folded paper crafts, you can use nearly any color of paper to make your final note fun and exciting. Follow these instructions to create a pull tab note. First, Get a Sheet of Paper
Start with a blank 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. This example shows white copy paper, but you can use colorful copy paper, lined notebook paper or even graph paper. Just make sure that the paper is standard letter size. If it isn't, you can trim the paper so that it measures 8 1/2" x 11".Continue to 3 of 9 below.

Second, Fold the Corners
Turn your paper horizontally and fold each of the four corners in as shown in the photo. When you fold the corners, align the edges of your folds so that they line up evenly. There shouldn't be a gap between the edges of your folds.Continue to 4 of 9 below.

Next, Fold the Top and Bottom
Fold the straight top down toward the center, and the straight bottom up toward the center. Everything should line up along the center fold of the paper, just as shown in the photo.Continue to 5 of 9 below.

Then Flip the Paper Over
Now, flip your paper over so that the folds are facing down. The flat side of the paper should be facing up.Continue to 6 of 9 below.

Fold the Paper Toward the Center
Take the left edge of the paper and fold the paper toward the center of the paper.Continue to 7 of 9 below.

Fold the Right Edge In
Take the right edge of the paper, and fold it toward the center as well. Now the left and right edges of the paper that you just folded should meet in the center of the paper.Continue to 8 of 9 below.

Tuck the Corners
Lastly, take the corners and tuck them into the folds as shown in the photo. Tucking the corners in will keep your note securely folded and your message secret!Continue to 9 of 9 below.

Pass It On!
Your pull tab is in the center of the note. You can label your pull tab with the word "pull," as is shown in the photo, or you can design a fun arrow. You can unfold this and write your notes or letters and then refold. Once you become more familiar with the folds, you can write your note first and then fold the paper as shown in the steps. Flip the finished note to write your "to" and "from" message before giving this note to someone special.
