Draw a Cross on Your Felt
We want to end up with a circle that is about 4-inches in diameter. There are two ways you can do this. First, you can lightly trace around a circular item, such as a cup, that is about that size or you can draw your own circle. This is an easy way to draw your circle.
If you don't have something to trace, you can draw a circle. I found the easiest way to do this was to start off by drawing a cross on the felt using two 4-inch lines.
You can use that cross to draw the circle.Continue to 4 of 10 below.

Draw a Circle for Your Fortune Cookie
Now, using a pen or pencil, draw arched lines connecting each point. You will probably want to keep your lines as light as possible so they are more hidden when the fortune cookie craft is done.
If you will be making more than one fortune cookie, you may want to draw your circle on a piece of heavy paper and use it as a pattern. Trace around this pattern on your felt.
Once your circle is drawn, you can cut it out.Continue to 5 of 10 below.

Cut Out Your Felt Circle
Once your circle is drawn using your desired method, cut it out. I cut a little outside the drawn line just to hide the pen marks better when the fortune cookie craft is complete.
The next thing you need to do is make the fortune that will go into your cookie.Continue to 6 of 10 below.

Make the Fortune for Your Cookie
Before you assemble your fortune cookie, you need to make the 'fortune' that you want to put inside it. Cut a small strip of paper, approximately 3" x 1/2" . Write a special message, quote, fortune, or other sentiment on the slip of paper.
You can now set this aside but keep it close.Continue to 7 of 10 below.

Fold the Felt Circle in Half
Fold your felt circle in half with the side that has the pen marks on the inside. Using a hot glue gun (this should only be used by an adult or under strict adult supervision), glue the center edges together, leaving about 1-inch on each edge open.Continue to 8 of 10 below.

Finishing Your Fortune Cookie
Place a dab of hot glue where the two sides come together to form the fortune cookie shape. Hold your cookie shape until the glue cools.
Why not make several of these fortune cookies and fill a Chinese take-out box with them! Instead of felt, you can also make these fortune cookie crafts using craft foam.
