This is a wonderful project all ages will enjoy and it is perfect for Independence Day, Canada Day, or any other occasion when fireworks are a must. All you need is a piece of paper, some glue, and some glitter.
- Age Guideline: 3 Years and Up
- Time Required: 20 minutes (Does not include drying time)
The above age and time guidelines are estimates. This project can be modified to suit other ages and may take more or less time depending on your circumstances.
- Black or Dark Blue Construction Paper
- Craft Glue
- Glitter (preferably red, white, and blue)
Squeeze the glue from the bottle onto the paper. Be generous with the glue, making thick lines. Try to make firework(starburst-type) designs. Younger kids can just squeeze out any designs or you can help them make the firework shapes.
After you make the designs with the glue, sprinkle the glitter onto the glue to make your fireworks sparkle. Shake off any extra glue and set your fireworks picture aside to let it dry.
You can also use a paint brush or q-tip to "paint" on your design and then add the glitter. For a little more 'pop', make your fireworks design using yarn dipped in glue.
