These candy-coated treats are a fun snack for kids to help make. You don't need any fancy candy-making equipment or expertise to make these 3-ingredient fruit poppers. You could even try freezing them for a healthy alternative to ice cream!
- 50 fresh grapes
- 8 oz. vanilla candy melts (can use chocolate; can use candy coating)
- 1 cup nuts (any kind you like, finely chopped)
- 50 toothpicks
- Line a large baking tray or surface with wax paper.
Wash and dry grapes.
Stick a toothpick in each grape.
Melt the candy coating according to the directions on the box or bag.
Dip each grape halfway or all the way into the candy coating, using the toothpick as a stick or handle. Let the excess drip off.
Immediately dip the candy-coated grapes into the nuts and roll around to coat. Place on the wax paper to set and dry.
Note: About half a package of candy melts makes almost 50 grapes, so use more or less based on how many grapes you’re making.
