If you're in the mood for a good sized steak sandwich, look no further! These rib-eye sandwiches are not only easy to prepare but fantastic. The secret is not to overcook the steaks. The meat will keep much more tender, flavorful and perfect for this sandwich.

What You'll Need

  • 4 rib-eye steaks (boneless, thin cut, about 1/4 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 large deli buns
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 small onion (cut into rings)
  • 4 lettuce leaves (washed)
  • 1 large tomato (sliced)

How to Make It

  1. Preheat grill for high heat.
  2. Season rib-eye steaks with salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Place onto the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
  4. Once cooked to your preference (135 F for medium rare and 145 F for medium), remove from grill and let rest for about five minutes.
  5. Serve on warmed deli buns with steak sauce, mayonnaise, onions, lettuce, and tomato.
