There isn't a better time to buy a gas grill than the middle of winter. Selection might be a little limited at your nearby stores, but they are always available online these days and the prices are generally very good. The end of the year is closeout season and while it might be cold outside a serious griller won't be stopped by a little snow. Plus, it will be ready and available on the first warm day of the Spring.

When Aaron Franklin opened his BBQ joint in Austin, Texas, he started a revolution. Certainly, barbecue has always been big in Texas, but as proprietor of what just might be the most famous barbecue restaurant in America, he has garnered global acclaim. This book is a cross between his personal journey and a hardcore text on traditional smoking. This is a must-have for anyone serious about real Texas BBQ.

First of all, pizza is bread, with stuff on it. It is baked like bread, but unlike most of the bread baked in your oven, the secret to the perfect pizza is high temperatures, temperatures higher than most ovens can usually reach. What pizza needs is high dry heat, and a smoky environment. I've talked about grilling pizza before, but now I'm talking about an accessory that will take pizza to a whole new level. This is not only a great way to cook a pizza but a whole lot of fun to use.

Chris Schlesinger and John Willoughby are masters of grilling, barbecue and meat. This book is their first pairing and is the book that taught the world that backyard grill was more than burgers and steaks. This is probably the one book you have to have whether you are a serious master of the grill or just starting out. This book almost single-handedly changed the landscape of the cookout.
There are many great grilling books out there to choose from.
