This is a basic hot cocoa recipe.
The cocoa is made with unsweetened cocoa powder and it's topped with mini marshmallows. It's especially good for fall and winter days, but we love it any time of the year.
- Blend cocoa and sugar in a small bowl.
- In a medium saucepan, heat milk to scalding. Mix about 1/3 cup of the hot milk into the cocoa and sugar mixture, then pour cocoa mixture into the hot milk in the saucepan; stir until well blended. Stir in vanilla.
- Serve the cocoa topped with mini marshmallows.
