We see many different terms when cooking or baking with eggs. Here are some of the common terms used for beating whole eggs and egg yolks.

Slightly Beaten

The eggs are beaten with a fork or a whisk, just until the egg whites and yolks are blended.

Well Beaten

The eggs are beaten with a whisk, egg beater, blender, or electric mixer until they are frothy, light, and even in color.

Thick and Light Lemon Colored

The eggs are beaten with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes, until thick and light lemon-colored.

Ribbon Consistency

Egg yolks and sugar are beaten with a whisk or electric mixer for about 3 minutes, until the mixture forms a "ribbon" when dropped from the beaters or a spoon.
