How to Find Free Stuff on Craigslist

Choose Your Craigslist Location

Click on the Craigslist city that's closest to where you live so you can find the free stuff closest to you.

Find the Free Stuff Section

You'll now be taken to all the Craigslist classified ads for your chosen city.

To find the listings for free stuff on Craigslist, you'll need to click on "Free" under the "For Sale" category.

Narrow Down the Listings

To find just the Craigslist free stuff you're looking for, use the search tools at the top of the page. Type in a keyword and choose any other options that will help you with your search. Click "Search" to display the results.

You don't have to use the Craigslist search tools, you can just browse through the listings.

Browse Through the Results

Browse through the listings of free stuff on Craigslist until you see one that sounds like it might be something you like.

Click on the title to view more information about the listing.

Select Your Free Stuff

Read over the description of the free stuff. There may be pictures of the free stuff as well.

If you'd like to get the Craigslist stuff for free, you'll need to contact the person who is giving it away. They may want you to call or email so follow whatever directions they want you to do.
