James Fitzgerald

James's first job as a ranch hand and grounds maintenance assistant at a rural retreat center in Northern California introduced him to carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, painting, and landscaping.

After spending several years at this establishment, he underwent a carpentry apprenticeship under a general contractor and master builder in California's Napa Valley. There, he learned the ins-and-outs of rough framing, finish carpentry, and concrete forming while building custom homes and renovating upscale houses.

Finally, he combined all of these skillsets to become the lead maintenance technician at a rural retreat facility in Petaluma, California. In addition to handling new construction, remodels, painting, plumbing, and landscaping.

Today, James shares his experience with homeowners across the nation with his writing on home improvement and offers a handyman service to residents of the Lewis Clark Valley in Washington and Idaho.
