5 Questions with Jamie
What is your zodiac sign?
What is one home skill you'd like to learn more about?
I can manage easy sewing projects: hem by hand, mend a tear, make a pillow. But I would really like to learn how to use my hand-me-down sewing machine, a gift from my aunt who is a sewing expert. Growing up, she would make all my Halloween costumes and we’d pick out the pattern and fabrics together. When my daughter is old enough for Halloween parade season, I hope to make her costumes on that same sewing machine.
What is your favorite thing you own and why?
My passport. It’s a reminder of my privilege.
What's your most dreaded chore?
Laundry! Before we got married, my husband and I split up our soon-to-be shared chores. My husband, who had never done laundry before, thought laundry sounded FUN. It's been his chore ever since. I'm so grateful!
What is your favorite season and why?
It's a tie. Summer, for all the extra daylight. And Fall, of course—nothing feels better than the crisp morning air and crunchy fallen leaves beneath your feet.
