Jessica Bishop is a former writer for The Spruce, where she wrote extensively on weddings for two years. She has received recognition as a wedding expert by media outlets including "Brides" and "Glamour" magazines as well as Refinery29.com.

Bishop has worked in various aspects of the wedding industry for 10 years, from design and day of coordination to photography and wedding invitations. She launched The Budget Savvy Bride in 2008, which grew to be the go-to resource for brides on a budget.

In 2018, Bishop's first book "The Budget-Savvy Wedding Planner & Organizer: Checklists, Worksheets, and Essential Tools to Plan the Perfect Wedding on a Small Budget" was published. A top-selling wedding planner, this interactive workbook and planning guide helps engaged couples define their wedding vision, set a realistic budget, and stay on track organized through every step of the planning process. 

Education

Bishop earned a BFA in Graphic Design, Journalism at the University of Tennessee.
