Kelly honed her editorial experience as the Executive Editor at Avenue, a lifestyle magazine that covered Manhattan society, real estate, and luxury trends. While there, she interviewed celebrities, CEOs, chairs, and board members of iconic New York institutions. She also developed the content strategy and editorial objectives for the Avenue website re-launch. Kelly is passionate about health, fitness, sports, and lifestyle topics.
Previously, Kelly was the associate editor at Dan's Papers, a weekly publication based in the Hamptons on Long Island. She took on a number of project management roles, including overseeing all content creation for the newly launched Montauk section, as well as all branded content for the company's food and wine events.
After leaving her full-time roles in print media, Kelly pursued a career in corporate communications, where she helps to maintain and shape a company's voice. In addition, she currently consults on a number of content and communications projects. She delivers strategic communications plans, brand strategy recommendations and messaging campaigns that support a company's goals.
Kelly's writing has won numerous awards. In 2015, she received the Fair Media Council Folio Awards for her piece on fashion icon Donna Karan and her Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program. In addition, she was named Sports Writer of the Year by the New York Press Association in 2012.
Kelly has her M.S. in strategic communication from Columbia University, where she learned how to most effectively adapt communication campaigns to the ever-changing business environment. She graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in 2010, where she ran on the D1 track and field and cross country teams. Go Deacs!
