This ground turkey mixture makes flavorful, lean turkey burgers, or use it to make slider-style mini burgers for a party or get-together. Finely chopped green onions and a variety of herbs flavor the easy burgers, and ground turkey breast and an egg white make them low in fat.

For juicier turkey burgers, use part ground turkey thighs in the mixture.

These are delicious with Remoulade sauce or a spicy Sriracha mayo, or use your own favorite toppings and condiments.

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey breast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 green onions (scallions, finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons (parsley, finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf sage

How to Make It

  1. Heat oven to 350 F (180 C/Gas 4) .
  2. Put a cooling rack in a large foil-lined rimmed baking sheet, such as a half-sheet pan or jelly roll pan. Spray the rack lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Combine all ingredients until well blended.
  4. Shape the turkey burgers into large or small burgers and arrange on the rack.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes, until cooked through. The temperature should be at least 165 F on a food thermometer. Depending on the size of the burgers, this could take from 30 to 45 minutes.
  1. Serve these burgers on homemade slider buns or full-size hamburger buns with avocado slices, remoulade sauce, and tomato slices, or your family's favorite burger toppings.
